Hello Fish Fans and welcome to our Stuart Florida Fishing Report. We had the pleasure to spit are time fishing the waters off the coast of Stuart and several trips to the Bahamas this summer. It’s great to be a South Florida Fish Head.
On our Stuart Florida Fishing Charters we’ve been catching dolphin and tuna with a few sailfish and kingfish in the mix. The dolphin are 15 to 20 miles off the beach this time of year but there’s lots of them and worth the extra miles. Most of the dolphin are 3 to 5 pounds with a few 7 to 10 pound dolphin in the mix. We came home with a dozen on our last trip and threw back another dozen peanuts.
The blackfin tuna are stacked up as usual on a ridge 10 miles offshore but the scattered weeds have made it unfishable some days. These blackfins are footballs of 5 to 10 pounds and it doesn’t take long to catch a dozen or so if the Sargasso weeds not to scattered about.
Sailfish, kingfish and bonito are eager to play the game just 5 to 6 miles off the beach on the reefs and wrecks.
On our Bahamas Fishing Adventures we’ve been catching everything from tuna to snapper. The yellowfin tuna have been a bit further off the Bahama Bank than usual but we caught them 40 to 50 miles out from Walkers Cay to Green Turtle cay. Plenty of birds, blackfin and skipjack tuna just 20 miles out but not many yellowfins. We caught 5 yellowfins on our last trip with the largest pushing 90 pounds. Now’s the time to get hooked up with Capt. Wayne and customize your own Bahamas Fishing Adventure. Deep Dropping, trolling, reef fishing and snorkeling. Take your pick or let’s do it all.
